Serco is seeking candidate to assist in providing technical support to the Software Engineering Directorate (SED), U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) during the entire life cycle of Lower Tier systems including PATRIOT and any other related systems for which SED has responsibility to support. Life cycle support is defined as the activity necessary to define concepts, define requirements, plan, manage, develop, sustain, modify, improve, field, and retire system computer resources in a time frame necessary to meet customer needs. Independent Validation & Verification (IV&V) software support is provided for Lower Tier weapon systems including PATRIOT and any other systems for which SED has responsibility to support to include identify and document any software problems; review system requirements documentation; review and analyze the developer’s Software Development Plan (SDP).
May require an advanced degree in Engineering or equivalent and eight to ten (8-10) years of experience in the field or in a related area. Provides expert consultation in one or more areas for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems. Recommends alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Responsible for all internal activities and product development. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
