Junior Weapons Systems Engineer

Serco is seeking candidate to assist in providing technical support to the Software Engineering Directorate (SED), U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) during the entire life cycle of Lower Tier systems including PATRIOT and any other related systems for which SED has responsibility to support. Life cycle support is defined as the activity necessary to define concepts, define requirements, plan, manage, develop, sustain, modify, improve, field, and retire system computer resources in a time frame necessary to meet customer needs. Independent Validation & Verification (IV&V) software support is provided for Lower Tier weapon systems including PATRIOT and any other systems for which SED has responsibility to support to include identify and document any software problems; review system requirements documentation; review and analyze the developer’s Software Development Plan (SDP).

May require a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent and one to two (1-2) years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
