| Duties: |
The selected candidate will provide direct general systems engineering and programmatic support to the Missile Defense Agency's Sensors Directorate that plans, acquires, tests, and fields Ballistic Missile Defense System sensors. Responsibilities include supporting the government program office in radar test, deployment, and operation, radar participation in BMDS system test, failure resolution, and radar system upgrades (including software). In addition, the selected candidate will have a role in technical mentoring of junior government staff in the Sensors Directorate. This position is in Huntsville, AL. |
| Qualifications: |
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or related technical field is required. An advanced degree is preferred. At least 8 years relevant experience is required. Knowledge of radar systems and/or radar phenomenology is strongly desired. Other relevant experience includes RF systems, ground systems (hardware and software) and system level testing. A history of direct support to or experience working in a government systems program office is desired. Knowledge of MDA's mission, its programs, and its missile defense components is desired. Must have the ability to build effective relationships with customers and work effectively in engineering, acquisition, and/or test teams. Must have excellent communication (writing and speaking) skills and interpersonal skills and be able to interface effectively with government, Aerospace, FFRCC/UARC, contractor, and SETA personnel. Travel will be required. |
