Position Summary
The Special Education Department at the University of Alabama is seeking applications for a clinical assistant professor with expertise in assistive technology.

Detailed Position Information
This clinical position is non-tenure earning. This position presents a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to innovative projects focused on expanding assistive technology capacity in the State of Alabama. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders in the assistive technology field and provide support to Alabama's State AT Act Program, APT AT. The main obligation of this position is to design and lead projects focused on expanding assistive technology capacity in the State of Alabama. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders in the assistive technology field and provide support to Alabama's State AT Act Program, APT AT. This position is initially funded for one year and will be considered for renewal based on securing external funding to sustain ongoing research initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must hold a terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in the broad field of Special Education and have experience working in the area of assistive technology. It is preferred that the candidate have established relationships with stakeholders in AT across the state of Alabama The candidate must also have applied research experience related to assistive technology. It is preferred that the candidate also have a documented history of grant funding, collaboration with AT agencies across the state of Alabama, and experience leading a research team.

Two Professional Letters of Recommendation from persons familiar with your research line from university research faculty who are not current supervisors or past doctoral advisors. 6.
