Description

Job Scope:

As a crucial member of our FSG Smart Buildings Project Management Team, you will lead project management, utilizing your expertise in Distech Controls systems from start to finish. Your role will involve meticulous planning, seamless execution, and proficient oversight, ensuring projects meet the highest quality standards and surpass client expectations. You will be responsible for conceptual design, precise estimating, negotiation, testing, scheduling, deployment, quality assurance, and comprehensive reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison among stakeholders in each project, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Take ownership of project costs, billing, and financial management, ensuring transparency and profitability.
  • Develop comprehensive budgets, accurate timelines, robust schedules, and thorough risk analyses.
  • Manage project deployment, prioritizing installation quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Implement rigorous monitoring mechanisms to track project progress and evaluate success metrics.
  • Regularly communicate project objectives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough post-project reviews to identify areas for optimization and enhancement.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, design, and fabrication teams to facilitate seamless project handoffs.
  • Source and engage installation vendor companies, negotiating favorable terms to ensure profitability.
  • Provide comprehensive training and instruction to installers and end-users.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations for installers, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate decisive and servant leadership, prioritizing customer advocacy and results orientation.
  • Contribute actively to the team, fostering open communication, knowledge sharing, and constructive challenge.
  • Hold yourself accountable to high standards of performance, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Based on project requirements, willingness to travel and stay overnight is up to 25%.
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a positive and collaborative demeanor.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Docs.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend contracts, drawings, schematics, and submittals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with Distech Controls systems in smart building projects.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in the construction or building automation industry is advantageous.
