Job Description

Summary/objective

Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi-Cola Bottler founded in Birmingham, AL, more than 100 years ago. The On-Premise Level 1 position is responsible for ensuring the timely and correct kitting of snacks, candy, cold food, and replenishment of product, as well as reworking returned cases back into inventory.

Essential functions

* Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required

to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights,

weekends, holidays.

* This position is responsible for the accurate movement of product from stock to kitting containers within an assigned portion of the On-Premise Level 1 kitting zones (snack, candy, cold food), moving empty pallets to designated areas for removal, proper disposal of damaged cases, reworking good product to be placed back into inventory, and cleaning of assigned work area.

* Will replenish and rotate products as required.

* Pick all assigned product to quantities as indicated by Lightspeed system.

* Wrapping of completed pallets and moving to proper locations.

* Load trucks by hand/and or pallet jack as required.

* Communicate with Leads and Supervisors throughout shift on status of On-Premise dedicated system as required by zone.

* Identify and assist other kitting zones if applicable.

* Rework operations - Sort and dispose of damaged items. Repack good product and stage to be placed back into inventory. Track all damaged items to be removed from inventory. Move bins in and out of work areas as needed or filled.

* Required to operate the baler.

* Must clean assigned areas within the On-Premise Warehouse which include but not limited to; cleaning of roller racks, docks, mop assigned areas and spills as they happen, and any other cleaning assigned within the warehouse and around the perimeter of the building.

* Make sound decisions and multitask simultaneously without constant supervision.

* Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.

* Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method. Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to Web Based and/or facilitated training.

* Other assigned duties as needed.

Work environment:

Working conditions will require both inside warehouse needs and outside pallet/tray production support. Temperature conditions will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold.

Other Physical Requirements:

* All tasks within the warehouse are physically demanding and labor-intensive. Employees within this role are required to:

* Lift product up to 30 pounds on a repetitive basis per shift and up to 50 pounds intermittently throughout shift

* Periodic lifting above shoulder height

* Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach and climb up and down stairs throughout shift.

* Ability to work in a fast paced and warm environment, especially during summer months.

* Push and pull equipment such as: merchandise racks, speed racks, flat beds, pallet jacks and wire cart the distance of up to .4 miles

* Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth).

* Sense of Sound - Hearing is required for the total workday

* Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - vest, slip resistant shoes, gloves, hair net, eye protection, earplugs

* Position requires physical presence within On-Premise system at the Central Hub.

Required education and experience

* High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred

* Be able to read product packaging and communicate in English.
