Site Ergonomy Specialist (Experienced) - TUS

THIS OPEN POSITION IS LOCATED ONLY AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: BFG3 Tuscaloosa Facility

MISSION :
* Assist the RGEP to garanty the application of regulations and Group orientations in the safety domaine
* Assist managers of their perimeter in the animation of safety approach
* Provide needed knowledge in their domain to develop a sustainable safety culture
* Ensure the correct application and effectiveness of the site's EP Management System on the safety domain.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Create and manage employee education programs that help individuals understand musculoskeletal risks are present in the workplace.

Provide details on how employees may reduce the amount of physical stress endured on the job.


Identify techniques that may be implemented in order to reduce or eliminate the overall risks that may be present.


Assist the Plant Environmental/Safety Manager in managing ergonomics on the site and be the Ergonomist technical reference for the site.


The site has relevant and exhaustive ergonomic risk analyzes and action plans are defined. In the context of design projects, technical transformations of equipment or organizational changes in jobs.


Good practices are shared across the site and across the country.


The site ergonomist is a leader for site events: steering committees, progress events, training.


External and internal partners are identified, and the ergonomist is the site's referent in these networks.


Technical support in the domain will be provided in the event of an audit and in the event of a crisis impacting the domain.


Ensures completion and coherency of the results of ergo analyses for the perimeter.


Provide needed knowledge in their domain to develop a sustainable ergonomic's culture.


Assist with the facilitation of solution development events (e.g., kaizen events, or "Ergo Blitzes") for the facility in the search for and evaluation of solutions.


Review health, safety, accident, or worker compensation records to evaluate safety program effectiveness or to identify jobs with high incidents of injury.
Work with teammates to complete/close out corrective actions in a timely well-defined manner.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.


Be a team-oriented coach and mentor.


Effective problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and process/product relationship knowledge.


B.S. degree and 1-5 years' experience with Ergonomics and / or experience as an Environmental / Safety Professional in a manufacturing environment.


Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems.
