Overview

Configuration Manager

Location: Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, Birmingham, AL

Clearance: TS/SCI

The Configuration Manager will provide Configuration Management (CM) support services for the Air National Guard (ANG) 117 Intelligence Support Squadron (ISS) and common user communication computer systems.

Responsibilities

* Ensure the configuration of mission systems are documented and updated maintaining local inventories of all hardware and software baselines as well as ensuring the respective program office has the current hardware and software baseline for all systems.

* Ensure hardware and software baselines of the information systems (at the local site) are documented in accordance with the appropriate Configuration Management plan: Configuration Management Plan for Air Force Joint Worldwide Communications System (AF JWICS) Enterprise Network, Distributed Common Ground System Configuration Management Plan (DCGS CMP).

* Develop a local Configuration Management Plan to supplement the program Configuration Management plans as well as any Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) deemed necessary for implementation of this local Configuration Management Plan.

* Facilitate and document monthly configuration management status meetings and reported on the monthly report to the COR.

* Conduct periodic reviews, at a minimum once per quarter, unless there have been significant baseline changes to Ensure compliance with the CMP.

* Ensure all security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware is documented in accordance with (IAW) pertinent Configuration Management Plans on a monthly basis.

* Ensure all information system security-related documentation is current and accessible to authorized individuals on a monthly basis.

* Notify the site ISSM/ISSO when a system no longer processes intelligence information.

* Promptly notify the site ISSM/ISSO when changes occur that might affect certifications and accreditations of systems.

* Ensure the site Configuration Management plan correlates to the process steps in the system development life cycle.

* Inventory and annotate in the appropriate System Security Plan (SSP). Contractor shall coordinate with the ISSO/ISSM to Ensure changes are incorporated into the appropriate Xacta project when new software, hardware, and firmware is received before implementation on the information system.

* Ensure 100% inventory of all hardware and software is conducted and documented annually. Any discrepancies shall result in the updating of relevant SSP's ensuring the Xacta package is also updated by the Government ISSO/ISSM.

Qualifications

Required:

* Bachelor's Degree 7 years experience OR Associates 5 years OR HS with 10 years

* 5 years experience working in software system development and sustainment as a software developer, analyst, systems engineer, CM Specialist or CM systems administrator

* Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with success working in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point)

* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills are required.

* Possess a TS/SCI Clearance
