CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Sprinkler Foreman to join our Commercial & Institutional - Fire Protection Services Team at a client site in Birmingham, AL.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA offers highly specialized fire protection engineering services and cutting-edge solutions to address the most challenging fire risks. Our approach involves adapting strategies and solutions to meet the ever-changing demands of buildings and the environment, while promoting safety and efficiency.

At CHA, the Sprinkler Foreman is responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings according to standards. The professional in this role manages an on-site work crew of varying size, depending on the project; and performs final inspections with local, state and county AHJ's.

More specifically, the Sprinkler Foreman is able to assemble and install a variety of metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, and copper. The individual in this role installs and maintains hydraulic and penumatic components of machines and equipment such as pumps and tanks. Additionally, the Sprinkler Foreman interprets work specifications and fire codes, tests systems for leaks, and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
    High school diploma or equivalent irequired
  • Minimum 7 years' industry experience required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • OSHA 30 Training required or must obtain within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to read blue prints and redline fab drawings
  • Ability to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as working within ducts, crawl spaces, climbing a ladder, outside in the heat or cold, on lift equipment, or dirty environments.
  • Ability to work at heights in a man lift and lift 50+ pounds above head
  • Strong working knowledge of wet and dry fire sprinkler systems
  • Must have excellent communication skills and positive customer service attitude
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Sales aptitude a plus
  • Prior experience leading and overseeing a team
  • Must be willing to travel
