What will you do?
- Help build enduring RF processing software assets to continuously deliver innovative RF impact products to DoD missions
- Apply software ingenuity to creating key integration gateways between science code and computing infrastructure
- Promote API-first approach and deliver robust software implementation
- Design and implement large-scale automated numeric regression testing infrastructure similar to NOAA UFS HST
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing in Python, Fortran, C/C++ in a Unix/Linux development environment
- Must have at least 3 years experience with command line and shell scripting in developing numerical computational analytical software, preferably in support of scientific research and development working with large scientific datasets
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
U.S. citizenship is required. Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a SECRET clearance to enter the government facility.
Desired
- Experience or background in space weather science or ionosphere physics and RF communication and radar is highly desired
- Experience architecting Kubernetes solutions
- Experience with OGC and geospatial programming is desired
Location
Work is performed at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM, with the possibility of an on-site or hybrid work schedule. Relocation assistance available.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or another relevant field
