Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. is owned by and provides wholesale power to six regional and 51 local electric cooperative systems in Missouri, northeast Oklahoma and southeast Iowa that serve more than 900,000 customers.
AECI is a cooperative guided by the seven cooperative principles that reflect the best interests of members: voluntary and open membership; education, training and information; democratic member control; cooperation among cooperatives; members' economic participation; concern for community; autonomy and independence.

Mojo — It's a power that allows a person, as well as an organization like Associated Electric Cooperative, to be very successful.
At Associated, our employees are the mojo behind our mission to provide affordable, reliable electricity and support services to the six member systems that own Associated. Those six G&Ts then send the power we generate down the line to 51 local co-ops serving some 910,000 homes, farms and businesses in Missouri, southeast Iowa and northeast Oklahoma.
Those members count on their rural electric cooperatives to deliver electricity 24/7 -- and they succeed with the power from Associated.
