Join the team and become part of our family!Charter Manufacturing's Corporate Office is now seeking a year-round Accounting/Finance intern to join their team! Duration/Schedule: Flexible part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer months. Hybrid remote/on-site work schedule available!Start Date: Fall 2021WHAT YOU WILL DO:Payment Method Conversion Project (streamline process and reduce processing time)Credit Limit ReviewsVendor Payment Project (work with Finance team and Charter businesses to streamline)Day to Day support of the Corporate Finance functionPOSITION PURPOSE/MISSION: Join our Finance Shared Services/Credit teams and grow through Charter's Internship values of communication, high expectations, accountability, responsibility, teamwork, exposure to business, and real-world work experience. Become part of the Accounting or Finance department while being exposed to varying issues. Assist and/or lead multiple projects supporting the different facets of the business. Collaborate directly with other employees and work on projects independently.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.Ability to succeed in a team environment.Ability to handle multiple tasks.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Accounting or Finance major with multiple related courses completed toward major.Strong attention to details, accuracy, and reliability.Advanced Excel skills.Oracle experience.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:Develop a general understanding of the accounting or financial processes.Support Continuous Improvement projects.Document and improve processes.Create specific reports and complete special projects.Support month-end close.Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description.Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.POSITION CHALLENGES:Juggling multiple responsibilities and projects.Working independently with little direction.
